I'm probably not considered a snot-nose youngter(brat maybe), but it's basically like your facebook status updates without any of the bells and whistles.

Basically, you register your own twitter and then search someone you want to "follow", say Dan Wolken. You search Dan Wolken and follow him, and his "tweets" will appear on your homepage. After you find enough people you are interested in "following" you get a good read on your home page every time you log on!

I have not and never will actually start sending tweets, but Ive signed up so I can get MR's/Wolkens/YahooSports/Tigers tweets sent to my phone, nothing like staying in the know all the time...might as well put that unlimited texting to use haha

I've "signed up" for a number of other recruiting guru's tweets, to see what they are saying. Different perspectives.

I avoided Facebook but have no recourse now but to get my 16 year old to show me how Twitter works.

It is also interesting to see how they "plagarize" other folks tweets, too, as some are getting tweets from other recruiting "analysts"

that means you would effectively block UofMTigersHoops from following you and receiving your updates. No need to use it for UofMTigersHoops. :)

I'm new to twitter...so I'm just learning...but here are a few things I've picked up

Following= people you follow

follower= people who follow you

RT= retweet

@= sends a reply to someone's tweet (@johnmaddox...blah blah blah)

tweet= how one updates twitter

#= hashtag (A little advanced- even for me...lol) but basically its how you can "tag" a word so that others can search on it (is that correct?)
