After reading this I am surprised it took this long for someone to come up with this lawsuit but I see it back firing on them. The teams can easily be taken out of the video games and more paperwork will come out for the students to sign saying they waive all rights to everthing.
This article got me thinking about athletic scholarships and one question has stayed on my mind. If a student declines a scholarship and walks onto a team can he then accept endorsements? With the NCAA justifying not paying the students because of the free tuition room and board if a guy pays for it all himself they shouldn't be able to govern over how that student makes money. Now I didn't search indepth to see if they have rules against this or not. Which as greedy as the NCAA is I am sure they have closed thsi loop hole already.
