The 2009 Boost Mobile Elite 24 event, which will be played August 22 at New York City's Rucker Park, will feature 24 of the top high school basketball players from across the nation, regardless of class. Players are selected by a committee consisting of high school basketball experts from ESPN RISE Magazine, ESPN Scouts, Inc. and other leading talent evaluators. Players are selected based on their performance at AAU tournaments and national summer camps.

Nice to see that JJ & Barton are both considered the top 24 players in this class. That is a big honor & would be a HUGE coup to get both of these guys.

Actually, the one good thing about the Boost Mobile Elite 24 game vs. other all star games is that they try to invite the top 24 players in HS basketball regardless of class. So Michael Gilchrist will play. And other juniors and maybe even a sophomore or two. Tyreke played in this game both as a rising junior and rising senior, as did Lance.

So it's even better saying that the Tigers may end up with two of the best players in the country, period.
