Good thing he only includes Temple's MAC record when joining in 2007. If he included their record against MAC teams the entire decade it would probably be worse than Buffalo's.

Also, if Marshall were still in the MAC their record would probably be in the 60%-range with they way they dropped off big time ever since they left.
Northern ILL. suprisingly under the radar shows up pretty much at the top of the list. Novak had a nice run and a resurgence under Kill. It is clear that NIU is one of the most valuable football programs in the MAC.

What would be more telling is what MAC records are post 2005. Marshall and UCF are gone that year and that about when the MAC began playing a lot of mid week games. In the early part of the decade the MAC was very top heavy enhancing the winning percentages of those at the top.

Let's be more accurate - instead of "since they left" why not use "since they got caught cheating."

They joined the MAC in their first season of 1-A in 1997. They had a great run in their first 6 years but we know quite a bit about how lax the oversight of their program was, all in the name of winning. Once people were watching them closely and they left the MAC, success has been fleeting, at best.
Prove the cheating helped us on the field. How does a player earning money at a legit job, translate to wins on the field? - The whole crux of the situation was, they were paid more than the prevailing wage was at the time. Marshall failed to see it and was cited for lack of control because Ridpath wasn't doing his job, neither was the AD. It's not like we used ineligble players, shaved points, or recruited illegally. We've paid the price.

BTW, I find it funny that many on this board supports OSU, probably the king of all cheaters, but rarely is something said. Maurice Clarett - the man can't say a coherent sentence - how did he get into a fine academic institution such as OSU? Please!

Interesting you don't mention Toledo, they would be impacted the same as Marshall.

Marshall got caught for academic fraud too. Allowing players on the field to play in games when they shouldn't be helps you on the field.

I believe all the games where outcomes/spreads were effected that were actually part of indictments are UT Basketball games.
Only a few players in question never saw the field. I think two actually played in a few games. Hardly enough to make an impact. I'm sure the NCAA would have made us forfeit games if they felt it directly affected the outcome. We took the hit, took steps to correct it and have.

Again, its funny how this is thrown into Marshalls face but never mentioned about UT's transgressions, now and in the early 70'1. Akrons run ins, EMU's run ins as well, BSU, etc. Just sayin.
84. Marshall: Would have been rated much higher had we not found out exactly how Bobby Pruett won all those games in Huntington. Since he left in 2005, the Herd have played by the rules and are a combined 12 games under .500.

Yeah, odd how there hasn't been a word on here anywhere about Toledo's problems... 03-drunk

I didn't write that. Though i did point out earlier how Marshall cheated when you asked. I don't hate Marshall, i just don't care for cheaters. No one does...
