I'd say that's a very good assessment. My only disagreement is that he might be lessening the pressure on Frank Solich.

Bobcats are loaded and have six home games plus away game vs terrible North Texas. Anything short of a bowl game for Ohio would be a major surprise.

I don't know if I would say Brookhart is "steady."

He's closer to the edge than that. If he doesn't perform, especially in the new stadium this year, I would put his status as: "on thin ice."
