Thursday is my 10th wedding anniversary. This one is especially important since I was out at sea for both my first and fifth, FTN. I need someplace to take the old lady (she loves it when I call her that). I am not looking to spend a ton of money (tight budget with me not working and having some pretty big bills coming up like books and other stuff for school) but I can spend more than an average night out to dinner. Looking for something a little different than your normal run of the mill restaurant.

Any suggestions?

Yeah that is definitely a good call.

Slims in Northside is hip, cool and fantastic plus they don't have a liquor license. You can bring in your own wine and I don't believe they even charge you a corking fee.

I'm not going to be much help with food, but what my husband does and I love it is he will leave me a little note somewhere (like on my rearview mirror) and stuff that say 'I love you.' It sounds really corny but since I have double the x chromosomes as you guys- I think this is a fantastic idea to stick like 10 around your house in the middle of the night so when she wakes up in the morning she finds them. Places: Start with at the head of your bed, Bathroom Mirror, television, coffee maker, her purse, the steering wheel, etc. If she has a heart at all she will love it. And do a note on each one like 'I love you' and 'I appreciate you' and 'you have a beautiful smile' and 'Remember the time we...' and 'You're such an awesome mother' ... See where I'm going with this?

Inexpensive and very sweet. Good Luck and have fun.
My $.02? Andy's Medeteranian Grille up near Eden Park. Just got back from there. Great meal as usual at a one of a kind place.

Thanks, but not my style. She would want me to see a mental health professional.
Great for the entertainment value and the beautiful view.

If you do go to the Radisson, do yourself a favor and get the crab cakes. They are the best I've had in this area.

I am very picky when it comes to crab cakes. After getting great ones while in WA, I don't mess with them when I am not close to the coast.
hmmm...

Probably not what you are looking for, but these are first places that I could think of. I'd recommend them all at any time.
I was at the Primavista tonight. Had the Osso Buca and the Wedding soup. Absolutely wonderful and still the best view of Cincinnati, bar none.
I'm sorry, BR, but Maury's Tiny Cove?

I cast my vote with Hoops Junky & vote the PrimaVista. It is not cheap, though.

Best view in Cincinnati and fantastic Italian food. Ask for a window seat, although most all the seats provide for a great view. Tell them you have a special anniversary & the Lankford's will take even better care of you!

P.S. You will be right next door to the former home of WSAI 1360, THE top 40 AM station in Cincinnati during the 60's and 70's, and home of Roy Cooper, Paul Purtin, Jim Scott, Dusty Rhodes, Ron Britain, Dick Wagner, Gene Austin, Mike Sherman & Mark Edwards. But you don't care about that.
Maury's is a complete dive, but they have good steaks. At least they did when i was last there, probably 5 years ago. If I never make it back to Cheviot I won't be too upset.

Just teasing.
It has been a while for me also. Last time we ate there, a chinese family owned the place & the steaks were good.

Cheviot continues to sink. Cheviot has always been a haven for west side red necks. Now, even they are fleeing westward towards the land of Lush and Gruehls.
I was there for West Fest 3 years ago to play in a band. I got there early to help setup and after I left I came out to find a ticket on my car for parking in the correct direction on the street. Apparently they didn't like our music. Seeing as it was mostly patriotic numbers (Sousa marches and armed forces medleys), I must conclude that the police of Cheviot are unAmerican terrorists.

I should have known something was awry when one local was constantly yelling for us to play some Skynyrd. Seeing as how we are an 80 person wind ensemble we were unable to pull up Freebird.
Growing up on the Westside you realized at a young age that there are no bigger pricks out there then Green Twp and Cheviot cops. Green Twp cops will pull you over for everything and anything and be total asses while they do it.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

10 years ago my wife and I were married in what you could call a rush. We had a simple ceremony performed by a judge at the Kitsap County Courthouse in Port Orchard, WA. Afterward we went to watch a comedian perform at the club on the base and shared drinks with several close friends.

We have decided that to commemerate the event we will go to the Funny Bone in Newport. Not the most romantic night together, but it has some meaning for us.

The Green Twshp police have a directive from us residents to keep your kind in check and even better, off our streets. They were just following orders.03-lmfao
