I did not see east varisty play last season, so I cant reply with 1st hand knowledge. I did see East's freshman and reserve play last year. I went looking for some information and there wasn't a lot for football, more on basketball. Here is a picture from East's website with Cory Keebler #33.

Is that a shadow behind him, or does he have a mullet?
I dont see him as a BCS prospect at all.
He may be able to get a scholly to a MAC school.
But no I just dont see him being a BCS prospect.

I really like the offense they run, dont you? East is just developing as an athletic program.

It's a shadow unless the kid next to him has a shaved head/mullet combo
I don't comment much on this board, but i actually went to Lakota East and recently graduated so can comment alot on this one.

First off, yes that is a shadow in the background it happens every year and they have yet to figure it out.

secondly, he has the size and work ethic to play at UC thats for sure. The kid is a weight room freak. from a skills standpoint though he is still pretty raw. he is not extremely fast, but he has good hands and is a very good blocker off the end. One problem he faces is that Lakota East doesn't utilize the tight end very much, and last year they tried to run some form of ground game that looked like a big mess so they didn't throw much at all.

He is nowhere near the level that Alex Smith is as a tight end, and in the long run i see him projecting as more of a defense end.

The freshman and reserve teams ran a pro-style offense disguised as an option attack where the QB would pull it out pop up and hit 5 - 7 yard passes to players in space after faking an option... it was very effective in the games I watched. Does the varsity run the same system? It worked very effectively at the lower levels.

That seemed to be the plan for the offense, but the only problem was the quarter back was only 5'10" and he was a run first guy, so the majority of times he would fake the option and then take off running himself rather than throw the ball.
Thanks for the information.

I think the important information in all this is when a program shows interest in someone that someone is usually a back up choice for the prime target. Alex Smith is their target and hopefully he stays locked down, but if he doesn't they might look at Cory as an option.

UC is also showing interest in Brad Sundstrom a WR for Beavercreek per the Dayton Daily News:

Quote:Sundstrom, a Greater Western Ohio League Central Division first teamer, has performed well at several college camps this summer. His size and 4.67 speed in the 40-yard dash has him on the recruiting radar. Ohio State is giving him a look along with Cincinnati and most of the Mid-American Conference schools.

Is it just me, or does this look like Nazi Germany's basketball team with that emblem? Kinda freaky.

Besides the black dudes, yah. But then again lots of old baseball clubs including our beloved Reg Leggs tried to pass off light skin blacks as whites. This of course was in the day when one could barter a sack of potatoes for a few pouches of chewing tobacco. Or so I've been told.
Lush he's talking about the emblem on the wall behind them, not the make up of the team.

Good find eroc.

I think Cory was a back up plan (maybe for the world traveler from Lakota West that picked NC?). I know I stated this fact before but Kazeem Alli was the star of the recruting class the same year a relative unknown name Conner Barwin committed.

Welcome to Clifton Cory!

I am surprised by this commitment with the top players UC was still after and the few scholarships they have left.

x2

although this whole nd flirtation may have killed a lot of uc's recruiting momemtum. well aside from this commitment, its open season on our guys and 2011 is back at square one.
unfort this kid might have a nice long body.. but when i have watched him he never goes across the middle, and plays very soft.. thats what i have seen.. not even in the top 4 or 5 TE's in the city.. has to play DE in college.. and get a mean attitude.. has really no place playing TE in D-1
nothing about this kid on actual recruiting websites...maybe he has decided to walk on because i cannot see UC offering another player at his position unless they are a 4 or 5 star player...only have 2-3 scholarships left
