Justin Verlander (ODU '04) has been selected to the 2009 American League All-Star team. This year's 80th Midsummer All-Star Classic will be July 14 in St. Louis.
The All-Star teams were announced o MLB All-Star Selection Show Sunday. This will be Verlander's second All-Star selection. He pitched in the 2007 game.
