ECU is hitting this poll hard.
It's just like MLB All-Star voting--The more well known players get the best of †he casual votes. Due to his coach's name, more people know the school and therefore its players.
25 votes?????(SMH) Joe will be very disappointed. 05-stirthepot
Seems like Pinkney has been playing for 8 years at ECU.

Maybe he has!
A little known statute in the state of North Carolina allows for players to petition for a 5th, 6th, 7th, and even an 8th year of eligibility. This NCAA loophole is most often used by UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke and NC State basketball programs. Most successfully used by Bill Hurley, Johnny Dawkins, JJ Reddick, Ty Lawson, and most recently by 5 time NCAA player of the year Tyler Hansborough. The player who got the most use from the loophole was NC State's Julius Hodge. Julius had a 12 year career at NC State, and was actually able to play at NC State with 2 of his children on the team. The NCAA got wind of the extra seasons of eligibity when during a NCAA tourney game, an NCAA rep overheard Julius and referee Tom O'Niell debating the use of grecian formula and which toupee maker was the best in the Raliegh area.

If I remember correctly, they had another QB(????) named Pinkney(unrelated) playing there before this one started playing.
I voted for Joe, but honestly, I think it will be Keenum.

Yeah, his name was James Pinkney and he played QB before Pat was the starter. You're right that they aren't related.
I votes for Southern Miss's running back. Though, UAB should have a pretty dang good offense with that QB of yours at the helm. I heard he throws a lot of interceptions though. He reminds me a lot of former Troy quarterback Omar Haugabook. Haugabook was the Troy offense. He was the star. He could run and made decent throws, but he throw a ton of picks too. He lead Troy to a bowl game 41-17 victory over the Rice Owls, so he had his moments, like Webb has.

I heard you guys should have a much improved defense this year as well, how are the d-lines and linebackers looking?
D-line should be much improved, although I still don't know that we will be able to generate the type of pass rush that we need to help protect our young secondary. LBs were too banged up in the spring to really get an accurate picture of how they'll be as a unit.
UAB will be my most improved team.

Callaway and Helton always sharted a few years...then had that one year that was really solid. Like they both plan in waves.

Not being a UAB-friendly homer..being serious 03-drunk
