....than watching your seven year old son, who is a Horn Lake All Star, catch two rockets to center field and help lead his team to victory tonight, 23-22, after being down early in the game 12-2.

All Star state tournament going on this weekend at Latimer Lakes Park in Horn Lake. We lost to Hernando early in the day 23-19, then beat Saltillo in the nightcap 23-22.

We've got Tupelo at 9 AM.

I can't think of a better way to spend my 4th of July.
Good times playing Little League All-Stars on the 4th weekend. I hit my 1st home run on the 4th. We were losing like 15-6 (I played SS, so I had no control in stopping the continuous inside and outside the park home runs). Anyway, with bases loaded I hit a grand slam in like 3rd of 4th inning. That first home run is an amazing feeling even if you are getting your butt handed to you.

I think they came out in the next half inning and scored like another 10 runs, lol. That was my first year of Little League and we were pretty bad.
Let me tell you HLT, cherish this time, it will be gone in an eye blink. I know it sounds Corny, and is, but you know all that old corny stuff my parents told me....It came TRUE. Have a great fourth, and you could not be spending it in a better way. Congrats.
Imagine what it meant to your son to see his dad stand and cheer.
HLT, I believe that in 20 years you and your entire family will look back on these years as some of the best "family time" that you spent together. Cherish these years and enjoy this time together.
My son did his four years of football and we made every game, home and away, rain or shine. Best of times.04-rock
My son still reviews his touchdown in the 9th grade on the second string team.

What I wouldn't give for just one more day with my three little children all under my roof! Those were truly the GOOD TIMES, and they are over in the blink of an eye. Everyone told me it would happen.

But it's good. Two of mine are very happy on opposite coasts. And I have one here, also very content.
I played on a Little League team that won the State Championship in Tennessee back in '97 and it was honestly the time of my life sports wise. We got to travel to Tampa and play in the Southeast Regionals and even got a game shown on ESPN2 that year. Cherish the moments.

I have my kids basketball games on tape. Need to transfer to DVD. I still love watching all of them.
