American Samoa Safety Added To Fall 2009 Roster

NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion University head football coach Bobby Wilder has announced the addition of safety A.T. Aoelua to the fall 2009 roster.

Aoelua, a 5-8, 190-pound native of Pago, Pago American Samoa, joins the Monarchs from Monterey Peninsula College where he was an All-Coast Conference selection, an All-Coast Conference Outstanding Defensive Back honoree, and First Team All-California Defense recipient. He helped his Coast Conference Championship Lobo squad to a 10-1 record last fall and an appearance in the Bulldog Bowl.

Scholastically, Aoelua graduated from Fagaitua High School in American Samoa.

The Old Dominion football program will kickoff its first season of NCAA Division I Football Championship play this fall. The Monarchs will play an 11-game schedule, including a seven-game home slate beginning on September 5th when they host Chowan at 6:00 p.m.
