I was just wondering from some of you who are your favorite announcers and your worst announcers for College football.

I like the ESPN crew with Herbstreit, Turiko and Corso. I also like
Tom Ramsey the analyst on Fox he does a lot of Pac Ten games.
I used to really like Keith Jackson but he is not as good as he once was.

Got to agree with you on the ESPN crew of Tirico, Herbstreit, and Corso. They do a very good job and know the game. Ron Franklin and Mike Gotfried does a great job also. I'm going to have to disagree with you on FSN analyst Tom Ramsey because makes mention of UCLA at least once every Pac-10 game he does for FSN. Also, he calls Physioc's first name about a thousand times and uses "You know what" a thousand times. And as for Steve Physioc, he doesn't know how to announce a football game.

I don't like Physioc either, and yes Ramsey does rant a little to much on UCLA but he has some quality analysis and know the game of football, he is also pretty familiar with the Pac Ten conf.

Also of honorable mention, the TBS announcing crew does a great job also.

Angels fans want to get rid of Physioc. Here's a hillarious thread out of the Anaheim Angels message board:

I hope he doesn't do any Pac-10 games this year. He's so annoying.

Keith Jackson is my favorite along with the ESPN trio of Herby, Corso, and Turiko. I keep hearing about Ramsey and Pysioc. I guess I need to look for them more this season. I think Ramsey is the guy who also does pac-10 basketball games as well.

Reply Petros gets color analyst job for FSN college football

An announcement is expected today from Fox that Petros has accepted the job as college football analyst for the Pac-10 game of the week. Petros will take over for Tom Ramsey in the analyst spot on the broadcasts with Barry Tompkins replacing Steve Physioc as the play-by-play announcer.

Congratulations to Petros.
