Hi guys, I've started up a blog for the Mid American Conference. Given that ESPN has decided to completely do away with an already meager amount of coverage (unless you're Boise State/ Utah) of the mid majors I figured why not have a fan take their crack at it..

"Eastern Michigan: (Andy Schmitt)

Perhaps nobody in the MAC has been as good an athlete in as bad a position as Andy Schmidt. This year things might be looking up for him as a new coach and the potential for a somewhat respectable running game might help take the pressure off of him.

Even with the lack of a running game and as bad as EMU was Schmitt looked good last year. He does not turn the ball over too much, has a decent completion ratio and came on strong towards the end of the year. If he gets any kind of run support Schmitt can be a very dangerous weapon in 2009."

Decent job. Would have been nice to see mention of Andy's NCAA record day for completions in one game while going 58-80 last season in beating Central Michigan for the second year in a row and fourth time in five years overall for EMU. 04-rock
I didn't think the running game was that bad last year compared to what it had been. Blevins and Priest are decent MAC running backs. Overall as a unit the offense looks to pick up where they left off last year. Andy will need to stay healthy in order for us to improve over last year's record.
