who on this board was a Trojan fan first?

Not me. I moved here in 1982. I became a UALR fan before I arrived after seeing Arkansas-Little Rock had finished in first place in something called the TransAmerica Conference the year before. I was shocked when I got here and most people I asked didn't know that there was a DI team in Little Rock.

Not me. Not even close. Started attending games during Mike Newell's first year. Started buying season tickets the third year. I actually enjoyed the atmosphere at the Statehouse Convention Center. Much better than Barton.
Not me either. I became a fan circa 1985 when my dad figured I was finally old enough to attend games!

I was coming before we were DI. I can't remember who was coach . . . seems as if it was Happy. I remember a Forbes Lapp, I think it was, (assistant coach under Kestenbaum) being interviewed on the radio about the impact and importance of going D1. I came here in June, '74. My memory fails me sometimes. When did we go DI and when did Kestenbaum come here?
Ynocpirt, looks like you win.

Kestenbaum started 79-80, which was our first D1 season. Happy preceded him.

You and how many others Jim? It would be interesting to hear how many fans they were drawing before going D-1.
