Anybody been? Do they allow chairs and how thoroughly do they inspect coolers? Planning on going to Todd Snyder Thursday and don't want to have beers confiscated. Thanks.
Yes, they allow chairs. I didn't bring a cooler, but I don't think they checked at all. In my opinion, these concerts are GREAT.

My first show will also be Todd's.

As a point of clarification.................It's Snider
I've been.

Back in the 70s. Rules may have changed since then...
They won't check your cooler. I haven't been but I have asked plenty of people who have and they have all taken in wine, beer, etc. Just bring a koozie or some cups so you aren't being obvious. That and don't act like a JA, if they don't have a reason to bother you they won't.
Sabbath, Deep Purple, Mountain
Todd Snider concerts are a great time. I am jealous.

Leon came on about an hour late. Dressed in Top hat and tails. Do you remember bike lady, what was the first song he sang that night?????????.............Wild Horses, played alone for about 30 minutes at the piano, then stood up, and motioned with his hands, and said, "Children, we're going electric" And they did, and it was killer. I never had a bad shell concert. Procol Harum, Trapeze, James gang, all those and the above other mentioned groups were really hitting their stride in those days. It was magical.
Trapeze...i think they recorded a live album at the shell back in the early 70's....the album cover was a shot of the crowd there....

I'm on that album cover. "You are the music , we're just the band". They were a fantastic show.

My college rommie is on that album cover. I don't remember where he is in the pic, so don't ask.
How could they exclude Black Cloud from that album?

Yeah Kpig, I know there is another thread about Trapeze and the shell. But tomorrow night we ride to the shell to see Todd Snider. Looking forward to it.

Where ever I go..............
Todd is scheduled to go on at 7. Does anyone know if 7 is just "show-up" time or do the artists actually go on at 7. Is there an opening act?
