When I joined MT.org back in March I worked hard to get a few rep points. This morning I noticed a new post by a new member putting down the X. I thought that the new family member did a great job describing his/her feelings about the coaching situation and welcomed him/ her to the board. I check back later and notice that the rep points for this new family member jumped from 0 to 14 in a matter of hours. What did the hours old newbie do to get so many rep points?
Everyone here went on rants about the X. Did we give everyone that made a comment rep points? No! I am one that believes that we should work for what we get. We should not be handed anything!
I told you vets in March that I would carry your baggage if necessary and got three rep points from missj. That was it! Thanks again missj!
Anyway, I just needed to vent.

Please understand Croppi, the board sorta works in a way similar to the way the world works. By that I mean, in a male dominated environment (MT.org) you'll find that guys are prone to be driven by something as simple as a female's name. Its an arousal mechanism that if you give (i.e. rep points) you'll receive a crowning achievement (blank) or something in return. Who knows what that is, it varies from one dude to the next, but I know in most cases its absolutely nothing, its mostly subconscious where guys simply go on autopilot and primitive man takes over.

You don't believe my theory, re-register with a user name like Jillian tiger or something, watch the rep points build like legos. Cheers!

Rep points were supposed to mean something in the beginning. Then some posters, I won't mention any names, decided to have a race to see who could accumalate the most and then, at some point, somebody started the "rep party." To me the rep points don't really mean anything.

I gave you a +2 just because you debased yourself so badly by begging for them. Enjoy.

Rep points are overrated.

Everyone done WREP WHORING or are there a few more blocks to walk while the Johns double back for a second look?
