"Leaving Tip-in Club Board meeting. Those guys have a passion for Trojan basketball." Glad to hear once again that Shields appreciates the fan base. I have no doubt that he does.

However . . . I hope all the Little Rock sports administration realizes just how fortunate they are to have any passionate fans, living as we do in the Land of Oink - fans who actually follow the program closely in the off-season.

I mean, I put far more on my blog in the off-season than the entire collective output of the UALR sports staff - and I work for free, and don't know what I am talking about.

Listen: ten minutes a week on a blog or similar site, just talking about things coaches are allowed to talk about, would be worth tons to this fan. Do they want fans to talk about Trojan basketball in the off-season? then give us some fodder for conversation. It doesn't take much. But it takes more than a Twitter.

I realize the staff needs a vacation, too, but this is not rocket science, guys, and we aren't asking for the moon. Just a bone tossed our way once in a while, instead of a deafening silence.
