Wish we had a holographic suite, aka Star Trek style, so we could see these guys play with each other from different eras. Shame we cannot YouTube Tom Terrific.

My elderly father still feels Tom was the best. He would have Tommy Woods, Willie Malone and guys like that on his list and deservedly so.
Bump.
Here is this thread, for comparison.........
These lists are a bit different because the criteria is "favorite", as opposed to "all-time".
Sam Oatman.
Tommy Woods
Ben Rhoda
Troy Lee Mikell
Morris Tampa
Phil Powe
D.C. Smith
Charlie Stuart
Tirade
Tiggs
Tandy

.......and then the obvious:

Talford
Jennings
West
Geer
English
Story
Dennis
Wadood
Fields

I'm sure I'm leaving some out - that's just off the top of my head....
I agree with your list... I would add Swift...not only could he light it up...his professional career makes him one of ETSU's all-time greatest.

I've loved seeing some seemingly forgotten names show up...i.e.: D.C. Smith, Scott Place, Charlie Stuart. Fine players on non-NCAA tournament teams.

I'm glad to see these players are not forgotten. My favorite non-headline player has to be Marty Story. He wasn't flashy...but could you imagine the difference he would have made on this years team? He did his business in the middle in relative obscurity but you didn't mess with Marty. His football body did wonders.
But see, this is "favorite players", not "all-time greatest". I omitted Swift because of his arrogance, which is a turn-off for me......
Well, gee, it's hard to be humble when you've lived in Pittsburgh.

No surprise, then, that I've also left you off all my lists.....

.........although you would qualify for some kind of "all-time letdown" team.............
Hey, thanks for the compliment.

Because for years you wanted to tell me I was irrelevant.

Now, you're in effect telling me that I am a part of this program.

Which is true, whether my detractors want to admit it or not.
Nice Swift mentions in this Trey article:

Iceman talks about Skeeter.....

My father attended "State" (that's ETSU for you youngin's) in the last fifties/early sixties... he's told me about those guys that played during that era and how they'd pack up in cars and drive down to see the Bucs play at Ga. Tech, etc... (He's the one that told me to make sure I eat at the Varsity anytime I go to Atlanta)....

ETSU has had some really fine, fine basketball over the years and I guess that's why it's just so hard for many of us who are the legacies of these teams and personally experienced the 80/90/2000's teams to accept this whole ASun thing.
DITTO. I for one will never support the current adminstration.
