I have heard some coaching folks say that they thought Rhoades was the best coach on the Ohio bench during the TOS years. I have no idea, really, if that's true, but I'd bet this is a very good hire for the Polar Bears.

From his resume looked like this was part of a plan to become a Div I coach. If your sources are correct, this will probably come to pass in 3 years. This may be a future MAC coach very soon.

Rhodes is a solid coach. Had Groce not been available he would have been the head coach at Ohio.

You are going out on a long limb there. If it wasn't Groce to Ohio it would have been another well established assistant.
