i post this with caution because the man is sick and is, well, a fellow human...but
today my wife and i went for a walk in overton park. as we walked through the forest along the closed off road, i noticed a man being pushed in a wheel chair towards us. as we passed i looked over and said my normal "hi how are you today?" to the man, a girl with him, and a third person.
i just about froze when i realized it was Jobs. without a doubt.
I know there has been speculation for two years regarding his health. he didn't do the keynote at macworld this year either. now he is in memphis, for no doubt health reasons..
i was wondering if anyone could shed more light on this, and i was also thinking that a small prayer might be in order for the man.
after all, if you think about it, the reason we are sitting here on the internet, yapping on message boards, is in large part due to Apple -- Jobs and Wozniacks' little startup company. They began the revolution, they truly brought graphics based computing to the masses, and now 30 years later, here we are.
So essentially one of the godfathers of our modern life is being wheeled around overton park, looking gaunt, tired and weak, and it, in an instant, broke my heart.
i hate speculating about his condition, i can only think that he is getting specialized care only found here, but whatever the case, i do hope that he gets better. much better.
