I don't know if anyone is planning a trip to Orlando or not, but I'm flying out next Friday and returning on Monday. Fares are reeeeeally cheap. $124 roundtrip, tax included, nonstop.

You didn't say what airlines or how far in advance you had to book it.

Sorry. Northwest. I booked the trip on Monday May 4th. We leave the 15th and come back on the 18th. Universal Studios, here I come!!

Sorry. Northwest. I booked the trip on Monday May 4th. We leave the 15th and come back on the 18th. Universal Studios, here I come!!

a couple of weeks ago I booked a trip to Vegas to a convention to look for a job.

I used Priceline and booked round-trip airfare on American and 3 nights at the Venetian on Sunday night to fly out the next morning and return on Thursday.

Total price was $692.00. Unbelievable

I have flight for 2 people, 3 nights at the radisson-celebration, and rental car for 4 days $545 with tax on expedia. It works out to like $60 a night for the hotel. They must be hurting for people to visit.

Top it off, I got a 2 park pass that is good for 3 months at Costco for $89.99 including tax.

I travel pretty much every week for my job and book my own travel. Memphis is an expensive city to out of - and after doing this for 3 years, I'm still trying to figure out why.

The "why" is pretty easy. Look at all the airplanes with the red tails. Look at gates that they own but have never used. There's your "why" right there.
