Cavs are very good.

Hawks are not. lol

Danny Crawford and Violet Palmer are the two worst officials in the NBA...How in the world are they in the playoffs?

That was a complete joke of tech on Mo Williams.
Lebron just hit a near half court shot with little effort.. man he's crazy.
Violet Palmer is the absolute worst referee in NBA History. Period.

Atlanta just rolled over and played dead against the Cavaliers. What are the Cavs going to do when someone actually plays good defense against them in the playoffs, most likely in the Finals? LeBron is unbelivable, but that's my only question about this Cleveland team.
i can't call the hawks aren't a bad team considering that a few years ago, they were worse than the grizzlies.
if anything they give me hope that someday things will start looking up for the grizz. like us they've got a lot of young dudes but they balance it with some veteran leadership ie mike bibby.

but marvin williams and al horford are out so they're a bit understaffed. joe johnson left the game with a sprained ankle. if he can't play through it i think it's safe to put a fork in that series.

Anyone notice that every time Lebron drove to the basket he had uncontested or barely contested layups/dunks? I know Horford is out but the Hawks have no interior defense. I'm not a Lakers fan but wait until Lebron is driving into Gasol and Bynum, points won't come quite as easy.
He's Lebron. The points will come one way or another. If he cant drive to the hoop then he will just pull up from half court every time and make it. But seriously, if you thing Gasol is physical enough to keep Lebron out of the lane your crazy. Bynum, if he's healthy, might do a better job at it.

Last time they played. Lebron got 23 points, on 9-25 shooting. I'll take that. Plus Gasol and Bynum combined for 36. I realize the playoffs are different than regular season and Bynum still isn't right but I'd still take the Lakers in 6.

Rob

OK that wasn't actually the last time they played but whatever, the last time they played LBJ went 5-20 for 16 points....at home.

And i am going with the cavs to win in the finals. The cavs have several good bigs to throw at bynum and gasol to keep them busy.

Well since the Cavs are 0-2 to the Lakers this year and lost both pretty badly, I'm going to go Lakers. The Lakers are better at every position and play defense almost as well as Cleveland. Advantage LA. I really just hope it comes down to them.

One difference though is that the cavs have everyone ready to play right now which wasn't the case in either of the two earlier games vs the lakers. I got to admit though, if this series was to happen, it wouldn't totally shock me if the lakers win. Both teams are really good, but i just think the cavs are a little stronger and have the home court advantage.
Quote:The Lakers are better at every position

That's a stretch. I think Cleveland is better at the point and DEFINITELY at the small forward positions. If these two teams meet in the Finals it's going to be determined mostly by whoevers bigs play better.

Rob

PG yeah, but Kobe and Lebron cancel each other out at SF and no way is Verajao better than Pau at PF. Plus the Lakers have better depth(aside from Walton and Sasha who are both terrible). I'm just going with indisputable logic, the Lakers killed them in the only 2 games they played this year, 1 even without Bynum. Kinda like how Boston was 2-0 against the Lakers last year in the regular season.

As for the other point, Delonte West was out both games and Big Z was out the first game, but played the second. Big deal, Bynum was out the second game and they still swamped them so "everyone ready to play" doesn't float here.
Kobe is a SG not a SF. They won't be guarding each other so how do they cancel each other out? Playoffs,in any sport, are all about the hottest team coming in, regular season record be damned. Plus, the Lakers aren't even going to make it past Denver 03-shhhh

Rob

I just compare them because they are the same type of player, they aren't defined by positions. But fine, I'll give you PG and SF, but LA has the giant edge in PF and SG, and a slight edge in center, not to mention a superior bench. Plus Kobe is better the Lebron so edge LA.

Rob

Oh and as for being the hottest team coming in, you must not have watched last year. Celtics were 2-0 vs LA in the regular season. Boston struggled mightily in the eastern conference playoffs and the Lakers cruised to the finals. Boston still won.
I'm starting to wonder if the Celts aren't going to be the anointed team again.
Lebron is just nasty. I enjoy listening to hubie brown's commentary. No way boston gets by cleveland if they can manage to get by orlando.

Rob

I don't even see Boston getting by Orlando, but that's me. Yeah Hubie is such a great basketball mind, I could listen to him all day.
