I honestly cannot believe this. I'm all for second chances, but this guy should still be in prison. I'm pretty liberal when it comes to crime and rehabilitation (I guess you could call me "soft" on crime), and I don't care who vouches for this guy. He should have been tried as an adult, convicted, and sent to prison. And Tennessee shouldn't have even glanced in his direction.

not a repeat that i'm aware of, but belongs in the ntr-sports forum, so....
here it is.

I don't see anything wrong with it, I mean the victim even said they should take him. Sounds like they did some heavy research too. Nothing wrong with giving a guy a second chance, especially for something he did when he was 13. I hope he is making the best of it.
I guess he must have been a gentleman during the forced rape, hence the letter of recomendation from the rape victim. Strangely enough I do believe incest is a requirement to be on scholarship at UTanK.

Yeah, I would agree in most instances. However, after reading the gruesome details of this case (http://www.tsc.state.tn.us/OPINIONS/TCA/...aOPN.pdf), and knowing that the 17-year old who was also present is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence, I really think that this guy is a long way from being worthy of a second chance. He should be in prison.

Think back to when you were 13. You would know that this was wrong, and most decent, civilized people would not have committed such a disgusting, heinous crime. I don't care what his ACT score is, or what his GPA is. This is ridiculous. It has nothing to do with where he signed. This could be a Southern Cal signee; it's still appalling.

If the victim has forgiven him and is willing to write a letter on his behalf, I think I can as well.
just dont think a man convicted of rape should have his school paid for while being cheered on a football field.

In the hills of Kentucky and East TN it's often said that young men meet their wives at Family Reunions.
