Run DMC has already set his eyes on UK and now so has Nolan Dennis. Id say we have a 20% chance at keepin XCJ. I believe the only reason they would stay here is to actually play together. If they transfer CJ would have to sit out again most likely and X would never play with his brother.

The The Dade Duo is even more important now. They are the remaing 2 out of 5 recruits that havent ran from CJP. If we lose them...we are looking at a potentially bad season. Latavious Williams would help, but our depth would be non existant.
Mr. Obvious! Way to bring us down man.....chill for a minute chicken little.
I refuse to give any kind of reasoned comments as long as the CJP stuff continues.
If the NCAA lets CJ transfer just because of a coaching change, then they are setting a bad precedent.
Does anybody know for sure that Nolan Dennis is leaving? Is it confirmed?
yes he is leaving FOR SURE!!! go to the recruting forum for more info
Pack your boxes....you are moving!
CJ is a walk on CJ is a walk on No scolly no sit out! LEARN IT!

Wrong! B/c he participated and practiced w/ the team, he still must sit out. Scholarship or no scholarship. His own father discussed it.

That is a pretty adamant statement for someone who is dead wrong. Why do you think there has been talk about him potentially petitioning the NCAA to waive the year?
They're appealing it. Since it's for KU or UK, the NCAA will not make him sit out next year. Book that.
I don't see anyway cj will transfer without having to sit out a year.

it would set a dangerous and bad precedent. a very slipperly slope.

There are already 2 LONG Threads about this on the Recruiting Forum

Normally, there must be some type of extreme circumstance - i.e. Tyler Smith's father being near death.

If they do it, it is such a slap in the face to other programs, that even some of the big names will complain. Remember, not all coaches do the package deals. Roy Williams, Jim Boeheim are opposed to such things.

They would DEFINITELY speak out about it, if indeed the NCAA does allow it.

I think the NCAA would hold its ground on this with one.
If you're right, we'll at least have CJ next year. No one knows if he's any good, but I guess we need anything we can get.
prediction for next year's roster:

Niles
Garcia
Simpkins
Witherspoon
Sallie
Kemp
Mack
Laird (w/o)

with shot of probably 2-3 more of these below, which would give us 9-10 scholly's and one walk-on - not too bad considering what could have happened with transfers. I see that 9-10 scholarship rotation as worst case. We could have 11.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Taggart
CJ Henry
Coleman
Dodson
Latavious Williams
Ferrakohn Hall

If X leaves no point in keeping CJ around. Start fresh.
If he can hire the Miami-Dade coach, then that would solve a lot of woes quickly...Coleman and Dodson and they have two good guards, one of them a PG in Pickett and Beatty...but, I am sensing that if the MD coach isn't hired, then it is because that deal couldn't be delivered...
