According to the source, Pastner would hire former Kansas player Carl Henry as the program's director of operations, which would keep signed recruit Xavier Henry, Carl's son, in the program. Xavier Henry, a 6-6 wing, is a McDonald's All-American and top-five prospect in the class of 2009.

I wonder if they have enough jobs for everyone of their recruits' moms or dads?
Isn't that what Coach Foley does..?

Scotto we agree on something.:ncaabbs: I don't care who does it, I don't think it's right though. Even though technically it's legal.

That makes sense. The last I heard it sounded like Henry was gonna head to Kansas. He had it down to Memphis and Kansas, but chose Memphis because he was fond of Calipara.

This is just an extention of Little League. We used to have a draft, which gave every team an equal chance at the good players. But some coaches had information on kids coming up, like they were connected to a school in some way, and they could identify the good prospects prior to the tryouts and the draft, so the rules allowed for parents to be assistant coaches and they brought their sons with them. Which meant the kids didn't go through tryouts or the draft, but were automatically assigned to the team that their dad was helping to coach. So those coaches always just happened to have assistants who had sons who were outstanding players. Used to make me furious when I coached. And I surely don't like it in college sports. But that's life. Sometimes it sucks.03-puke03-puke03-puke
