I don't know how big a deal to make of that. If you follow a lot of teams, as I do, you know that it is almost the rule rather than the exception these days for someone to leave the team during the year for non-medical reasons. I don't like it, but there it is. We have lost several key players. Talented players are often problem players: just a fact. Coaches can't let players run the team: another fact. Hard to know how to balance that. Shields has lost several, but not any more than a lot of other very good coaches. Might be a sign of a problem; might not be.
