Supposedly he has offers from both, although Memphis is also reportedly trying to get Bruce Pearl. I just can't see Pearl going to an inState rival. While Tennessee is not like Arkansas, there are still likely 10's of thousands of UT grads in the Memphis area. I can't see going some place where a signficant minority of the population will hate you for being a traitor to their school. Benefits of going to Memphis- more money, much easier schedule, basketball is #1. I guess that would be enough for many coaches- just don't know if Pearl would want to move down to Conference USA after coaching at midmajors most of his career. On the other hand, the money, travel, etc. at Memphis will be anything but midmajor.

Floyd has a news conference at 5pm. No one seems to know if he will announce he's gong to Arizona or Memphis. Or maybe he's staying at USC.

I guess I nailed that one. Everyone had him going to Arizona last night and this morning. Then there were reports that Memphis came in with really big money this afternoon and he would go there. I guess money isn't everything. Floyd has a very nice team, a couple of top recruits, a new on campus arena, and plays in the PAC 10. He also probably has millions in the bank from his NBA gig.
