What is up with Mke Raita and ABC 33/40 this year? Night after night I watch and he's gotten to the point that he doesn't even mention UAB let alone show any video. Last year I remember Raita being on the Finebaum and defending the existence of UAB's football team. But something seems to have soured him since that point in time.

Fox 6 has given consistent coverage even though sometimes they show file footage over and over. I was listening to Fox 6 this evening while driving home and it sounded like he had pretty good segment on UAB. Even Scott Richards chimed in at the end of the sports segment talking about how well WB threw a football.
Dont wanna hijack the thread or anything, but did anyone else see UGA's practice being televised today on ESPN? I thought that was pretty interesting. A little boring, but interesting.
I don't know about other nights, but Mike Raita seemed pretty pro-UAB tonight. He mentioned the good points of the practice and talked about how UAB is predicted to be in the Ft. Worth Bowl vs. Texas Tech.
I've found that ABC does a better job compared to the other stations. Karle on Fox does a decent job, but Sheldon Haygood seems to do a poor job comparatively.
NBC does a good job, too. They are on par with ABC.

I believe that ABC's superior coverage has to do with UAB buying commercial time during the local news. Maybe there's a friendship between Raita & Watson, but I usually only see UAB athletic commercials on ABC... ABC 33/40 is also a sponsor for a give-a-way or two during football and basketball seasons in the past.
Well it appears I'm just missing the nights when he does talk about UAB.
Sheldon Haygood sucks! It's Raita all the way for me. I saw him out in Hoover one day at a restaurant and told him I thought he does a great job, and that I agree with his support of UAB by not caving in to the REDnecks who want to hijack the media.
