The latest Strike Probability Map makes it look more and more possible to hit around Pensacola or Mobile, AL. This further westward track is probably better for the game on Saturday but will cause more problems for us here in Alabama (especially if it strengthens any further).

Look for the TPC's track to shift farther and farther west each update....

They are behind the curve on this one.
Here's hoping that Mobile doesn't get hit by it. Besides one of our posters (Sarahbelle18) is down there, so is my wife; and the last thing that I want is for my wife and her family to be out of house and home because of this.

I've already got them prepped to come up here just in case.

Yeah, my Mom is planning to go down to Auburn on Wednesday for a nursing conference at Auburn University--but she's not going ANYWHERE if Ivan is a straightshot over Alabama. I'll take her keys.
I have not looked at the other models but the Navy NOGAPS model has it tracking further west (moble area). The GFS has it abt PC (i think).

I'll get an update from one of our mets tomorrow.

One of our mets?

Who is 'our' out of curiousity?
The Department of State Gov I work for has a staff of Mets. I think we have 7 or 8. They do things such as Ozone forcasting & Environmental Modeling.

Please let us know; I'll be able to get my in-laws and my wife up here with more staunchingly information than just a "please come up".

Ivan looks eerily like one from 35 years ago!
I'm praying it doesn't come our way. If so, I'll be actived to work for the EMA out of what is practically a bunker in Robertsdale for as many days as they need me.

BlazerCal...a UAB fan who posts on Blazernation occasionally is a good friend and he and his family live pretty close to the shores in Baldwin County.
Hey Sarah, was that you hanging from the goalpost that came down after Thur. Nite game? 03-wink

Have you gotten tired of seeing the Trojans on ESPN highlights? I must have seen that "D" linemen run for that TD at least 6 or 7 times. You couldn't pay for that kind of advertising and publicity you guys are getting.

Congrats!

Go Blazers!
lol...no, wasn't me. I had a class I had to teach that Thursday and Friday and there was absolutely no getting out of it. Our alumni chapter had a get together though and we had a great turn out and so much fun!

As for the attention, I'm still getting used to it. I've gotten so used to being the underdog and receiving "moral victories" that it's all very surreal. But we still have a lot of work to do and the victories at Marshall and against Mizzou won't mean anything if we get beat by New Mexico or Idaho later on. Plus, we still have to play at South Carolina and LSU...so I'm definitely looking forward and not wasting too much time lolling in the media attention. I just hope our team is doing the same.
I hear ya! South Carolina and LSU are both beatable. You guys have to stay healthy and that is a very difficult schedule you're playing. But so far so good. Do Troy have any bye-weeks coming up?

I'm not a Troy-hater. I like to see UAB and Troy perform well especially playing under the shadows of Bama and Auburn.

Best of luck to you guys and go kick the BCS-programs arses!

Go Blazers!
