Sweet. We could start this schedule 4-0 or 3-1 heading into USM at home. That crowd at that UCF game, though, is gonna be SPARSE. Maybe we'll move the time around to avoid the Iron Bowl as much as possible.
We're gonna all have withdrawals from October 3-November 7 with no home games.

This schedule gives us the ability to get off to a good start and build for tough OOC competition, instead of getting embarrassed, injured, and deflated.

If we don't win 6 games this year, CNC should be tased in the balls at halftime of the first basketball home game.
5 home games again.
Not sure how I feel opening up with two conference games but it looks like a schedule that has at least 6 wins on it.

I hope we can move the time around it. I want to make sure I'm at that one more than any other home game, but that's during my on week. If it's at a different time than the Iron Bowl, I'll easily be able to work out coverage. If it's at the same time...well, I guess I'm stuck listening to the game on the radio with headphones on at work, while everybody else has the TV out watching their game and getting really hesitant about doing any work.
I don't see attendance being that big of a problem on Iron Bowl weekend for us, being an 11-0 team.
My boss has wanted to kill me for refreshing uabsports all day instead of working, so I can't hate on cb. The three consecutive road games are a little concerning, but it's offset by the two winnable home games to start.

And to avoid withdrawals, make the drive to Oxford. I'm planning to.

Are you just now realizing that? We've known that was going to be the case for 2 years now, and it's been explained why. Either next year or the next we get 6 home games, but for a school like us (and most CUSA schools, for that matter) 5 home games is going to be the norm. Get over it already.

After going 11-0, everybody will be so confident that we can take UCF that they won't show for the last game and will stay at home to watch some real competition.

On the bright side we have 3 very close games in Troy, Oxford, and Memphis. Methinks this is the most regionally sound the schedule has been in a while.
our DB's will be getting a work-out in the first 3 games

That's been a priority of Callaway's.
Am I expecting too much by stating that I think we should be 3-0 going into the Texas A&M game?
Anybody else notice for the first time in a long time every game is a Saturday game? But also it doesn't look as if we will have any tv games. That is good, so we have Saturday games, but bad, no exposure.
No TV means you have to get your lazy ASS to the stadium to see the Blazers play! I like it! 04-rock

Until we officially "turn the corner," I don't want any TV exposure! 03-puke

Without having gone through Spring and Fall practices (injuries, defections, surprises, etc.), I think expecting to beat Rice and SMU is reasonable. Winning at Troy is more likely than not, but it is a) on the road, and b) an in-state game (I refuse to call it a rivalry). They will be fired up for this game while we will be playing a Sun Belt team. Never know what could happen in those kind of games.
This year really sucks for me on home and away games. Two of the home games are during my off week (SMU and FAU) and the away games are Texas A&M, Marshall, and ECU.

Also, since my previous post, I have found out that the person that works opposite of me has turned in their notice. The person that will probably take the job is not from this state and is not a fan of college football, so working something out for the home games just got MUCH easier.

+1.
After the embarrassing loss at Houston we don't deserve another TV game til we've proved it on the field.
