Any idea where Ivan (or what's left of it) will be late Thur night? I trying to plan my drive to Tallahassee from Motown (I75 90% of the way) and I'd like to plan on sleeping through the storm rather than driving through it. Thanks!

I'm looking for Ivan to SLOW WAAAAAYYYYYYY DDDDDDOOOOOOOOWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNNNN once it gets into Alabama.

Much more so than the TPC is forecasting currently.


That being said...thursday night (midnightish) the CENTER of Ivan should be around Birmingham/Anniston

Hear is my Rob Smith story:

Rob has always been great about giving us game forcasts, and they have all been pretty much right on. So, for one game the local weather guys were all saying it was going to rain, but Rob said "It's going to rain but dont worry about it because it's not going to start till right as the game should be ending." So, I go to the game and no rain. The game ends and there is no rain. I see Rob Smith walking out of the stadium after the game and I walked over to him and jokingly said "Hey man, what happend to the rain?" The moment I said rain, the sky opens up. and in just a few seconds it is pouring.

While I can't say for certain that Rob actually makes the weather, I'm not going to taunt him either

Neither....I don't like cheese! I say go with a hamburger.

Just don't expect to get a plain hot dog at Legion Field any more because they don't sell them plain....

Oh well, their loss of the $10 for me, my wife and my little girl's hot dogs.

What kind do they sell, then? I wasn't aware there were "types" of hot dogs

This year......all of the hot dogs are sold "loaded".... This includes kraut, some secret sauce, radioactive material and I believe I was told goat cheese and applesauce.

For the last 5 years, I have been able to get them plain.....i.e. Hot Dog & Bread......

You would think they would want to make the sale, but I guess not.

I have always liked Legion Fields hot dogs. Theyre unique. Nothing like them at any other stadium. I get one every game, if I don't have a Sneaky Pete while in Bham.

I would be careful with that risky behavior. Those things need and probably have a surgeon general's warning. I think you are only "allowed" four a year!

I knew that Rob was the official meterologist for UAB Football and quite an expert on spare rib preparation, but I no idea his expertise covered hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza, etc.

They say they are now made at one place and transported to each of the concession stands in coolers......


How stupid is it that you can't get a plain hot dog....... I'm actually trying to save them money on condiments, but noooooooo..
