Pretty much sums it up. I'm not trying to be positive mood killer but we really do need to be real about our chances if we don't win the CUSA Tourney.

Only one bracket matters and it hasn't been released yet.

Everything else is idle speculation.

If UAB makes it to Saturday it will be appearing in more brackets.
If we make it to Saturday we will buck the biggest trend in the Mike Davis era of failing to step up in the big game.

Simply put, our performances in big games have been downright pitiful and I refuse to believe it is because of our players. The blame falls at the feet of the coaching staff for our record against the Top 50 RPI since Davis has been here.

I've noticed that, too. The last couple of years (with the exception of Memphis at home, last year) we've come out disturbingly flat in circle-the-calendar games.

Well it was that Kentucky game in Louisville last year. That one turned out ok.
Exception noted.

Thank Robert Vaden for that one.
Walter Sharpe had a pretty nifty game that afternoon, as well, if memory serves.

Although I don't think it's Sharpe that haunted the Wildcats dreams that night.

Thank the Kentucky fan in the first row behind the Blazer bench for pissing off Vaden enough to set him off!

Anybody want to dress up as a fan of another team and piss him off at the conference tournament?
