Coach Brown was a genius 3 games ago and now there there is a firewatson.com. Watson has done a great job as AD and Coach. Without Watson there would not be a UAB Football team. He could have taken another job a few games ago. That was a higher profile and paid a lot more money. He stayed and lead us thru Black Friday and lawsuits. This program cannot stand a coaching change unless it is Sully. The faculties are awful high schoolish at best. Watson has done a great job since taping player up in the back of a pick up truck. I understand all these Anti-Watson views but they hurt UAB not Watson. Watson knows what is going on. We will probably beat Army. Houston is one of the most difficult foes on our schedule becuase of Kolb. USM stole one the last time we played there why not again. Watson loves UAB and all this bashing hurts the program. The Houston crowd could be bad and all this Anti-Watson talk does not help. If you disagree please save your comments till the season is over. Becuase if a change occurs it will be after the season. All Alabama and Auburns fans hear is all our problems and do not come to the Houston game and watch a team that Watson coaches. Stay home and watch TV because of Watson. I understand everyone has the right to speak there minds. Please, think before you speak it may be hurt the UAB program more than we realize.

I respect your opinion. I just dont know. If we go to a bowl this season, no matter the win/loss numbers, I think Watson will stay because whether we want to admit it or not, it's clear that the football program has made some progress. It may not be moving as fast as some of us wouldve liked, but I think it's progressing none the less. I reserve judgement til the end of the year depending on our performances in the final 3 games. If we lose our 3 remaining games, I personally believe that it would be time for some coaching staff changes. There would be NO excuse for being 5-1 and then losing 5 straight.
As disapointed as I am in the season I still think it is salvageable. I support CWB and the Staff. After the season is the time to address staff changes. I dont think all the negative talk right now is positive for the team or UAB. I am still hopefull that the staff af team can turn things around. Bolt isnt a bad coach (or hasnt been everywhere else). I hope the changes will help the defense.
I concur that without CWB there would not be UAB football right now. Anyone who dosnt see that is fooling themselves.
Negative talk in times like this has not hurt the program. Losing to the two worst offensive teams in CUSA and probably in the nation while giving up over 100 points and 1000 yards hurt the program.
If you don't express your unhappiness with something then how can you expect it to ever change?
ALL programs have fans that are on both sides of the fence. Some strive for perfection to the point that they get mad even with a win and then there are some that just accept the status quo.
With that said, we better get to a damn bowl game.
