Hey guys, the Gazette just finished a big piece on Andre Ricks.

I did the print piece and co-produced the video with photographer Jonathon Gruenke -- Gruenke, at age 25, is considered by his peers as one of the best photographers in Michigan.

At a time when newspapers are struggling and space and resources are limited, our editors gave us time and space to tell Andre's story. I hope you enjoy it — though there's even more to this guy (the redshirt situation, his recruitment of the other Detroit guys, etc. I'll try to do an additional blog soon.).

Here are the links, though all of it, extra photos included, can be found at mlive.com/broncos:

I haven't done a video piece like this since college. For nine minutes, it was about nine hours of footage and interviews. If you enjoy this sort of thing, let me know. This is the way the business is going and feedback is always welcome.

Enjoy the game today.
Nice job, Graham!

A few more stories like that and you'll be following your buddy Paul Bowker to bigger and better things. We'd like to keep you around.

Try to keep it a bit more cliche and predictable. I suggest you go with a formula that worked for Jack Moss. Write a lot of stuff about former players living in retirement communities. Hip surgeries, knee replacements, or a former player shooting his age down at Del Boca Vista Country Club. Gazette readers couldn't get enough of that.

It's true. Jack Moss kept us rivetted. We especially liked his repetitious articles on the Broncos-where he took the same article, changed a few words, then pumped it out 3-4 times running.

Only kidding, Jack!! Have a great time in retirement. Don't hurry back!
Graham, thanx so much for that great article. Just what I wanted to do, get all emotional before our big victory over CMU.
Basketball is about a lot more than basketball. Sure is great to see a guy like Dre do so much with his life.
Go Broncos.
