So I have spent the day watching the MAAC tournament on TV. All games (both Men and Womens) from Saturday and Sunday are being carried on either MSG or Fox Sports NY. The championship game will be carried on ESPN2.

So, after watching Canisius lose and Niagara win, I wonder, why won't the MAC pursue regional network coverage for the tournament in Cleveland? The ESPN contract for the championship game shouldn't rule out regional coverage for the quarter and semi-finals.

Many on this board are concerned about the conference exposure on ESPN networks, but it appears that the conference is not even concerned about getting coverage in its own backyard.

I have satellite TV with a sports package and extended regional coverage. If MAC sports were covered on FSN Ohio, or SportsTimeOhio, or even the Cleveland WB affiliate, I would be able to see it. I wonder how many casual fans in the region could be brought into the fold, if only there were more coverage available?

I believe that the Thursday and Friday games are being covered by FSN Ohio and FSN Detroit. Some of them might be on the FSN plus channels- but I would check your local listings.
The Semis of the men and possibly the Quarters as well are on Fox Sports Ohio. It would be nice if Sportstime Ohio picked up the MAC basketball tournament seeing that there studios are right across the street from Progressive field and the Q.

Thank you. The MAC Tournament site doesn't convey that at all.
yeah the men's qtrs and semis are on fs ohio as well as the women's semis and final
on a side note... i see STO is carrying the state basketball finals both girls and boys in HD. however the mens mac championship game still isn't in HD
You are not missing much FSOhio has horrible HD coverage. It seems I am not the only one with a nearly unwatchable Cavs HD feed every night.

I agree its terrible. Once as STO gets the rights to the Cavs. Bye Bye FSN Ohio.
