ETSU is currently playing on ESPN2, and looks like they will punch their ticket to the NCAA tourny. In case you didn't know, Murray Bartow is their head coach.
Just so happens that Gene is in the stands, and the announcers talked about how he built the program here at UAB from the ground up and what a treat it was to watch one of Gene's teams play.
Just thought I would throw it out there.
ETSU is up 27 on Jacksonville with 8 minutes to go.

Any mention of Murry then razing our program back to the ground?
I think we can be charitable to Murry since he's gone. Actually, he doing what he should have done to prepare for the UAB job-be a HC at a decent lower level school. Idon't htink there's any substitute for actually being in charge to prepare you for a better job. That's why i'm always a little afraid when an assistant who has never been the face of a program takes over.
In retrospect we got fairly lucky on CMA. We appear to have gotten exactly what the previous track record says we should get with CMA. I hope for our sake-and these 5 seniors he proves me wrong

A huge +1. And coupled with what Grammar-Nazi said, Murry needed to go away to get better and come out from under Gene's shadow.
