Again, we have one player taking over 30% of our shots and not hitting them at a high %.

Vaden took 18 shots, 15 of which were 3's. He only hit 4. It's time for him to try something new because he's just not hitting them this year.

Well, sort of. That's just the end result of what went wrong during the game that allowed it to happen.

Ouch.

During the last 5:00, he was taking the shot as soon as he got the ball, trying to shoot us back into the game. Under the circumstances (i.e. desperation time), that was as good of a strategy as any other but it skewed the FG stats.

If you look at his avg # of shots taken in our losses versus the avg # of shots taken in our wins it will probably be a significant difference.

That said, nobody shot well tonight. PDIII and Kinnard were a combined 4-18.

Out of curiosity I ran some numbers.

In our wins (avg per game):

FG: 6.3 - 14.3 (44.2%)
FT: 2.5 - 3.0 (81.7%)
3: 3.4 - 8.9 (38.4%)

In our losses (avg per game):

FG: 5.7 - 18.2 (31.3%)
FT: 1.9 - 2.9 (65.5%)
3: 2.8 - 10.5 (26.7%)

At the half, UAB (Vaden) was shooting around 44% from beyond the arc, but UAB's overall FG% was around 37.
