I know there's been a lot of talk about this, but I'm still in the dark. Can anyone help me understand who will be playing for UAB next year? It seems like we'll be REALLY short-handed...

Davis has learned his lesson and is being tight-lipped about recruiting...so we are, too. We'll find out in April.
You are just going to have to wait and see. Davis is being very tight lipped and so are the assistants. I assure you he is recruiting vary hard for next season and expects to sign a full compliment. Cam will get one of the scholarships.
I suggest you follow our recruiting forum for little tidbits as we get them in.
I'd be astonished if Mike Davis is not our head coach next season.
The coaches are working very hard and if they get the guys that we're in on and they feel good about there will be a lot of crow eaten on this board. All we can do is wait till signing day and see on that front. As Attalla says, they're saying very little at this point.
I think we'll be pleasantly surprised, although I remain concerned about academics.

I never eat crow. He can bring in the greatest players out there, but the facts remain the same and it does not change what has happened in the past.
To answer the original question, yes, those are the only players as of RIGHT NOW that we know of. In addition, add the spring/summer signees, add Jeremy Mayfield in case he's eligible, and remove Mike Jones.
I think davis will be the hc for two majors reasons
1) nobody(major conference with $$$) will offer him a job
2)UAB doesn't have enough money to buy him out
3) he IS PLANNING to win a nc at UAB
4) he IS expecting to have the best recruiting of the nation at UAB
Even Davis has since admitted he will not have the best recruiting class in the nation but a class Blazer fans will be proud of. Take it for what it's worth.

No offense, but I'd rather have a couple of diamonds in the rough like Elbert Rogers was. I remember clean Gene calling him that after he signed Elbert. Turns ou, he was spot on.
Did anyone see David Murray light it up for Leeds yesterday? Weren't we recruiting him at one time?
1. CMD will be at UAB next season.
2. Look for some major changes with academics and athletes.
3. UAB is going to have a very nice recruiting class.

Next year bet something less horrific, like the loser has to shave their heads. I'm sure Attalla and I could make that with little to lose. Seeing Memphis blue every day for a month is too much to handle
