Anyone here disagree with the substance of this?

Is so....please speak up.

Where's Liam?

I'd like to hear his take.
I heard this that night, he's right on the money, I am just shaking my head at their insistence on propping up banks to "keep credit flowing". THAT'S not the issue, it's that we're as a country, privately and public alike, leveraged to the hilt and we have to de-leverage and save.

This is a recipe for inflation, pure and simple. Especially when we don't have any manufacturing base here, we can't work our way out of this mess like we did in the past, the tools are gone overseas.
You saw in the Bush Administration-and even in the Obama Administration-the extent the US ruling elite hate and despise manufacturing. They LOVE the investment and banking community. That's a clean business, they wear expensive three piece suits, drive Mercedes and, most important, they donate generously to both parties!

Used to be manufacturing ruled the roost in America. Some time in the 1980's the 'love' from Washington started to move to Finance and Banking. We didn't need to make anything as a nation, just finance the folks in the east who did all the dirty work of manufacturing. Provide them with capital and live off the interest.

Fine and good if you're the top 1% in America in income, which includes most of those in Washington DC. The rest of us have to earn a living by actucally making a product or performing a vital service. Especially since our savings plans have taken a chit in the last 6 months and we're all reassessing our retirement plans!
This guy has Eisenhower all wrong, Eisenhower did run $20 billion in deficits during his time in office, but also founded America's very expensive highway system which was a self funded and (at the time) highly unpopular program. He also had to deal with three recessions.

Well, those folks ARE the power brokers behind the scenes - always have been. We just didn't realize it (most of us still don't). The international banking cartel exercises far more power quietly behind the scenes than people realize. They're sleazy, have no allegiance to anything but money and power. They are the backbone and prime drivers of the globalist agenda.

Yep, and we're arguing over the landscaping.
