""There's a bit of a buzz about him right now," Mayock said the other day.

Knighton's agent, Tony Paige, said the buzz among NFL scouts about his client started during drills at last month's Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Challenge.

"Terrance showed then that combination of size and athleticism they want for a guy at that position," Paige said."
With all the talent you guys point to, you must have a bunch of conference championships at this point.
No, they are trying to emulate KSU: lots of All-Pro NFL players and a 30% winning percentage.
This may be a MAC board record.
Someone posted something positive about Temple and it took all of 2 minutes for someone else to piss on Temple.
Congrats Torch ... you the man!!!
:ncaabbs:
Don't have time to check but I'm betting Torch doesn't even make the Top Ten. 03-wink

Lord I hope you all get your warning level raised...

I guess the Larry English post got just as much pooh on it. You guys are awesome!!!
What do you want everyone to do? Get together and have a big circle-jerk?

It's an entire thread about a lineman from Temple. Why don't you gauge your interest in the fact that Ball State's Robert Brewster, another lineman, just had his stock rise from a 6th or 7th round pick to a 4th based on the combine? Do you really care? You will not offend anyone by saying no.

I do care... its MAC news... Pro's from the MAC are a huge benefit to the league. It shows you have a high level of talent on the field. IT amazes me that people would rather have the board have no activity and be silent then have this information shared...
Well, then my apologies to you. I care that MAC'sters do well but if they don't (or I don't hear about it), my life will pretty much go on as usual.
This board will explode when this lineman gets a free agent invite from the Detroit Lions.

I didn't insult the player, and I wish him well.

But given the context of most of the Temple posts around here, I think the response was warranted.
And I say it's time for truce
While I haven't agreed with some Temple fans posts.
MAC fans come out of the woodwork to slame Temple
& are just as much at fault.
your all college educated men, you should act like it.

I don't get everyone beating up Temple on every thread. I like to hear about potential NFL players coming from the MAC. I enjoy seeing these type of threads, regardless of which MAC school. Congrats on Terrance and Robert Brewster! I hope they both enjoy playing on Sundays!
I'm not surprised Temple has had a DL show well. I thought they had the best defensive front in the MAC last year.....overall a
very good defense. Offense was the root of the Owls difficulties last year.

BTW, I also like hearing about MAC players showing well - only helps the perception of the MAC.

.. Specifically their OFFENSIVE LINE..... their OL cost them a winning season and probably more.
He'd be a very late pick if he is drafted. I read he didn't finish in the top 10 in any single workout.
Knighton will be in an NFL camp along w/ 3 other Temple Seniors. WR Travis Shelton and Bruce Francis along w C Al Derenthal.

I hope QB Adam Dimichele forgoes a Congressional appointment to join the staff at Temple

Francis ... I remember a catch he made against BG - he just climbed the ladder and outmuscled the DB. It was very impressive.
