I just wanted to take a moment and say how meaningful it was at the end of the game when Hackney led the team over to the fans. Wow, what a boost! For those of you not at the game, Hackney ran across the field (team in tow) and celebrated with the fans. Omigosh! :D I think that if it never would have happened, we would not have missed it, (we haven't really been acknowledged in that manner in my 2+ years of attendance) however, now, I'm very impressed. The win made my week, but his actions made my day. Thanks to Hack and the team for a great win and a great celebration!

A friend at the game told me that the players were slinging their armbands & stuff into the UAB fan section.

I remember when Eric Bush came over to us after our NIT win at home vs La-something in Coach Anderson's first year. I feel it is very important for the players to acknowledge the fans and they jobs that we do of supporting the team.

It works both ways...team effort.

You said it, blazerchick! I remember back in high school, after every win, the football team would run over to the band/student section and celebrate with us...it was good to see that from a college team :)
