According the Sporting News article:

(position rankings)

4). Nate Davis QB

3). Larry English DE

1). Louis Delmas S

1). Jacob Richardson P (Mia)
I've seen English go in the first round as a LB in one or two mock drafts
Mel Kiper has Drew Willy as the 6th best senior QB and has him going in rounds 5-6.

He also says James Starks is the 2nd best Junior RB in the nation. With Zach Maynard at QB, UB's rushing attack should be deadly next year.
Hard to believe that Delmas is the #1 Safety in the draft. Not to say he isn't any good, but it just seems like there would be better safeties out there somewhere. Good for him though and good for the MAC.

Rose very much in the Senior Bowl practices, etc. Scouts loved him.

NFL scouts are a little like 21 year olds themselves, they can fall head over heels in a week. 03-melodramatic

FWIW, I heard the "experts" on Sirius NFL channel talking about this year's crop of safeties, and they said it is a lean year. In their estimation, the safeties wouldn't start getting picked until mid to late 2nd round.

Part of that is some teams can justify him being used as a corner in some cover 2 schemes. As long as he doesn't have to play man to man every down he probably could do that.

The same reason English is being talked about as a first rounder, he can be used at multiple spots by multiple teams.

By the way, am I the only one who thinks that Davis will probably be drafted VERY late. If at the combine his offical height is anything less than 6'1 he is going to have a real tough time getting picked earlier than the 5th or 6th and Willy will probably go before him.

Yes you are. There is no way a guy whose been rated as a top 5 pro prospect QB for the last two years is taken after Willy. Over what two inches? Brees was 5-11 and still a second rounder. Nate has been responsible for 4,000+ yards of offense and 30+ TDs in each of the past two seasons, and lord knows there isn't a stronger arm around. Scouts aren't gonna drop him from being a top QB because he's an inch shorter than where he's listed, if that's even the case.
It'd be great to see English drafted in the first round.

It would be even better to see both English and Delmas both go 1st round.
Wiley is a PRO in a west coast offense. Phillie....NE as a long term project.....Miami..... I like Wiley more than Davis.
