It's never easy against ASU, especially in Rubeboro, but this one was really a tough one to get. We knew they wouldn't give up, and they didn't, but a big shot by Shane Edwards, and we get out of there with a one point win. Wow.
Shane is THE MAN.

Yoohoo in Yoosville..!!!

Oh, and I forgot, we got this one without Stevie Moore. Sixth consecutive road victory. We need to make it seven at ULM on Saturday.
ULM thumped ULL tonight. Another war in Monroe...

You going..?
And Phil just said that this was Coach Shields' 100 win..!

Spiders on TV, Valentines Day. Can't make it this year Scotto. But it is a pretty easy road trip (don't go through Star City / Monticello) and the people in Monroe are reasonably civilized. I sure enjoyed that joint we ate at on the water before the double-header last year. Worth a return trip.

BTW, did you ever get anything out of those lottery tickets you bought?
Livin' on Easy Street..!

Good game. Big shot by Shane but, what probably won that game for you guys was a Freshman dribbling the ball off of his foot while we had a 1 point lead. But, honestly I would play him more he really makes this offense move and Mouzy didn't stand a chance staying with Bryant.

The difference was the Trojan D forcing the freshman to dribble the ball of his foot.
Sometimes reality sucks.

No question that Little Rock got a real break on that turnover. ASU played a really good, tough game tonight and certainly could have won the game. Brady will turn you guys back into contenders soon.

Defense forced that. The presure was there to make that happen. The game should have never even been that close. UALR was passive from about the 10 minute mark until the last 90 seconds of the game. That last 10 minutes should have been Stevie Moore time.

My friend, that is why you play the entire game.

Especially the last 20 seconds.

I've gone there twice, but how do you get there without going through Star City and Monticello? And what is the name of the place you ate at "on the water?" Are you talking about the lake or swamp that is at the campus?.
Yup. On the bayou. Water skiing and everything..! Great food / great atmosphere. Here's a link.

PTJR got a ticket on the way down last year. We swore off that route. The preferred route is through McGehee and Bastrop.

Thanks. Is the Grill close to the campus?

Yup. Right across the pond, er, bayou.

It's REALLY good.

Stevie couldn't stay with him either. And Mouzy is the difference in the ball game, along with Edwards. He hit three big 3's and two driving layups, and if you noticed, ASU was playing a zone on everyone else, but had a man follow III all over the court. It made it impossible for that man to help double up Edwards and others. III also made some key passes, one of which Courtney Jackson wasn't ready for or he would have had a gimme.

Talked to Coach Brady after the game and III's dad was there with us at the bus, and Brady told us that III should be playing for ASU. We told him he was at least a year too late. By the way, Brady was very cordial. And I was surprised at how tall he was. I always pictured him around 5'10" tall in TV, but he has to be 6'1" or 6'2". We wished him good luck, and I can tell you ASU will be tough in the future.04-rock

ASU had it's chances and one mistake cost them. UALR led the entire game until the last few minutes and deserved the win. Look out when you meet the Red Wolves next year. I didn't watch the game but did catch the UALR broadcast for the second half.....like your announcers a little better than the Red Wolves. Good luck remainder of season.
