"I dunno about all that but we got a lot of water back here."

Here are a few exerpts I found on UAB's team page on CBSSportsline.com:

Quote:STILL NEEDS SOME WORK
Most of TCU's 343 passing yards came with the game well in hand, but the Blazers could still do a better job of putting opponents away in the second half.

I agree.

Quote:QUOTE TO NOTE
"I was always taught from high school that you can tell what a defense is made of when they stop a team on the goal line. We were determined not to give up any more points." -- UAB defensive end Larry McSwain after the Blazers stopped TCU on four plays inside the 2-yard line, protecting their 21-14 lead with and 12:54 left in the first half.

I like this kid.

Quote:UAB is far from being a one-man team, but it's hard to ignore the way quarterback Darrell Hackney is throwing touchdown passes these days.

With five more touchdown passes against TCU on Friday, Hackney leads Conference USA with 16 scoring passes in six games. Thirteen of those TD passes have come in the past four games.

The most important thing, however, is that UAB has won all four of those games and improved to 5-1 overall, 4-0 in Conference USA with a 41-25 victory over TCU. Now imagine this: a program that has never been ranked before is second among "others receiving votes" in this week's AP poll, with 41 votes.

YOU CAN'T STOP HIM...YOU CAN ONLY HOPE TO CONTAIN HIM!!
I like that pick, though I was having a feeling our offense might struggle on the road a little bit. We're certainly more than capable of scoring 40+ points on their defense as long as we're on.
Harmon picks...
