I don't know if this got discussed on BlazerTalk, and I can't believe I just found out about it today:

Quote:South Alabama lost a game at Louisiana-Lafayette last month on a buzzer-beating prayer from nearly half court. Coach [Ronnie] Arrow politely requested a replay review, as was his right, but soon discovered that the home team did not have a monitor set up courtside to handle such a request. So game over. He then became a little agitated. Then he lost his cool. Then he lost his ****. Then it got ugly.

He has a point.
Looked like the shot was good, but he was dead right about everything he said

"No video monitor?!? Where the **** are we...Troy?"
My favorite line in the article:

Quote:To be fair to Arrow, pointing out that a school that aspires to call itself Division I should be equipped to handle such technological wizardry as "television" is a pretty astute observation. On the other hand ... you're in Louisiana. You're lucky the baskets had nets.

Sure, as long as Arrow doesn't repeat history and have any Hodges or Junie Lewis's on his roster.
We have tried to play them. Marsh offered a 4 year home and home. We will see if they can agree on dates next season.
It is interesting that they have the nice digital boards around the upper deck, and decent backboards with the light embedded into the glass to signal the play clock dead, but they don't have a 13 inch screen with a feed to review the plays. Evidently there is a way to look at it because Arrow was looking up as if to be trying to view it on a scoreboard.

I would be pissed if that happened to us.
It happened to USM against UAT last year. All of a sudden they (UAT) could not produce the video feed.
