It's not as exciting as the FN Bubble Watch®, but UCF and USM went down tonight. That leaves us tied for 3rd in the CUSA standings with UCF at 5-3 (Houston and UTEP are 4-3). Tulsa is 2nd at 6-2. Like most years, 2nd or 3rd is the sweet spot for the Memphis Invitational.
That Tulsa loss will really hurt down the road.
It's early, but we've got the tie breaker with UCF.

It's not a bad loss and we are still in 3rd, so we'd get the 1st round bye. If we had won, we'd still be playing Tulsa on Day 3, just wearing white.

What he said. Besides, wearing white didn't help us beat them in Memphis last year.
Luckily USM is still in the Top 100 after losing. I was really hoping they would win last night. If they f*** up it takes away two more potential Top 100 wins.

Don't count on it. Teams in this league could choke the whole season, but they won't choke against us. I have a heck of time trying to figure out why, but we almost always get their best shot.

Same reason Memphis gets everyone's best game... the fans might not show out the way they do for Memphis, but the teams and coaches know the significance of a win over UAB... no one underestimates us.
