First 3 quarters....nearly fell asleep (aside from the 100 yard interception to end the first half) then suddenly the two teams came to life in the 4th and it turned into a classic!

I didn't care who won, so I like to go for the underdog, so tough luck for the Cardinals.

I had no dog in the fight! But in the end i wanted so much for the Cards to win......and yes, this is one if not the best 4th quarter ever in an Superbowl.........back and forth, emotions running everywhere...I didn't want it to end!!
both teams were winners in my opinion. THey both played their minds and hearts out and both deserved to win. A stupid costly interception on the goal line by AZ was the deciding factor early in the game. Too bad...would have loved to have seen these two teams in OT.
You would never have this in a BCS championship game.

The average margin of victory in a BCS championship game in the past 5 years- 18 points.

The average margin of victory in the Superbowl in the past 5 years- 6 points.

You could argue that this is due to the NFLs salary cap, NFL defenses, clock rules, etc. but the above stats don't include all of the non-championship BCS games that are often blowouts. The bottom line is that playoffs often yield exciting championship games. The Superbowl has been exciting for the past decade. You think it would be in the BCS best interest to increase viewer ratings by pitting evenly matched teams against one another.
we know how arizona feels tonight
Cards finally remembered the horse that brung them then forgot to tackle Big Ben. Oh well...good game.

No doubt.
The only football Cardinals fan I know is also one of my very best friends AND a Tiger fan too. This morning at Sunday School I jokingly said, "I hope the same thing doesn't happen tonight that happened to our other team last year."

I so wish I hadn't said that now.

Actually, if Pittsburgh doesn't take that INT to the house, we don't see OT. Arizona wins straight up
Great play by both teams in the 4th quarter. The catch by Santanio Holmes has to be a classic. Arizona did everything right on defense on that play and Holmes and Big Ben stilled pulled it out. Larry Fitzgerald is the truth. In the end the defense won it forcing the fumble because if Kurt gets it off, I still think Arizona catches it.

Funny. I was thinking the same thing when the Steelers were marching down the field.

As soon as Pittsburgh scored I told my wife, I know exactly how those Arizona fans feel. And then I got that kick in the gut feel all over again just thinking about it. 03-banghead
Man me too....brought back memories from that April night. Having the championship then not having it....feel bad for the fans.....

There was a penalty on the play. Pitt would have had one untimed down, so they could have tried a field goal or tried to go for a touchdown.
