Can anyone recommend a good, quickish place to eat in Muncie? Preferably near Worthern? Making the trip there this weekend for the game.
There is a sports bar not too far off-campus that I've been to a couple of times on my sojourns to Muncie. Damned if I can remember the name of it. Fairly bright inside and a lot of BSU memorabilia on the walls. I'd say mid-scale, pricewise. Muncie folks, help me out here! Pretty good pub style food the last time I was there. And you'll need a Smithwicks! I do drive back to Worthen, though.
I'm headed over on the 7th.
I think I need a Smithwick's about now.
If you are wanting quickie....there is a cajan place (Creole Kid) in the Village that will get you in and out pretty quickly. Subway is in the Village too.

Beef O'Brady's is not necessarily quick but is about 1 minute or less from the arena. That is what Axeme might be thinking of.

Of course, 'everything is on McGalliard'.
Never been to Muncie before, so I don't know McGalliard.
That was a joke from a rap called Lazy Muncie....If you saw McGalliard Road you would understand.

If you have a half hour, hit Beef's. Like Axeme said, you can get good beer and good food there and it is really really close to Worthen.

If not, either hit the Creole Kid in the Village or most places on McGailliard are less than 5 minute drive. McGalliard has all the places you can possibly think of.

Need directions from McGalliard Road or Beef's let me know.

Yes! That's it. PapaLouBSU recommended it, and I've hit it each of my last three trips to Muncie. May make it there on my 4th trip next week. It's a solid choice.
Eh, I'd rather not go somewhere I can find in Twinsburg, Ohio. But Creole Kid sounds like a good rec.

I'd recommend Scotty's Brewhouse. Just off campus, and has some great food. Not the cheapest place in the world to eat, but it's my favorite restaurant.

Scotty's is the best but OZoner wanted quick. Scotty's isn't very quick.
It doesn't have to be fast-food speed. I just don't know how long we'll have when the bus gets to Muncie, so I'm erring on the side of caution.
I went to Scotty's the last time I was in Muncie..it's pretty good.
