The Glory Days.
Ara Parseghian, Dan Devine and Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger.
Great story.
Merv Johnson gave a 5'8" 170lbs guy a chance to play on the practice squad.
Story reminds me of Brett Toney QB for the Tigers although Brett got a bit more playing time.

Another stupid movie that takes artistic liberties with the truth. Look at the "real" sack...looks more like #78 got the sack.

Anyway, Sean Astin acted like a whiny punk the entire movie, and you had to have the wise black man to dole out advice...been there done that with about 20 other movies.

He came off the left corner put pressure on the GT QB on the 1st play, then on the second play forced the GT QB out of the pocket were 78 was coming up and 45 was credited with the sack. #45 was first to the QB around the legs and 78 up high to finish it off, although I don't think the GT QB would have broken the leg tackle by 45.
One of my favorites too.
Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!
Pepper Rogers was the GT head coach that day. Soundtrack is awesome.
