One holdover as expected, Kurt Anderson.
Here is the 'skinny' on Kevin Wolthausen.

Apparently he co-defensive coordinator at L'ville in '06 under Petrino.

Sounds like he has some very good experience for a MAC program.
Kevin Wolthausen does have an impressive resume. Is he doing the LBs or are we still waiting for a hire for that spot?
A lot of the new staff have California backgrounds and I'm sure they have California JUCO ties. California Juco FB is one of the best training grounds for FB recruits when teams need an immediate fix at certain positions etc. Wouldn't surprise me if English and staff recruit the Cal JUCO ranks quite often during the upcoming weeks.
This staff is pretty young but there is some talent.

English is the most reknown HC we've had. Three others, Karcher, Wolthausen and Lewis, have solid I-A experience.

It might be that English opted to alocate money on some very experienced staff and also bring in younger, and cheaper, staff to complete his team.

This is about a good as it gets in most MAC teams. (most have a lot of assistants just starting their climb in the ranks).
This doesn't pertain to EMU but thought it was interesting. Some (not me) had suggested EMU consider UB's Jimmy Williams as HC.

Williams just got canned by Turner Gill.

Strange.
